LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
The huge blob of rainy weather on the Netweather display looks rather threatening.  "Not so" says the weather forecasters as they predict sunny periods this afternoon - - -
nice and warm but damp after some overnight rain, LM came in around 05:00 looking like he had done 3 lengths of the pond! Not a bad humidity figure this morning though
I had hoped that "Summer Solstice" day which today is, would have dawned with glorious sunshine.  The weathercam view has different ideas!  Its rather grey and heavy clouded right now.  With only the odd bit of lighter cloud around.  Undaunted by this the Met O are predicting sunny spells as a early as 12:00. Metcheck has a more slightly cautious approach and puts their sunny spells as late as 18:00.  I think I'll go for 16:00! - - -

With the ground up at "The Gym" having dried out it was time yesterday to go and bring the final full load to add more to our winter wood store
I had imagined that the load would empty the old stash but there's enough to just about fill up one more.
back home then and unloaded.  That makes 16 loads to fill up this area in front of Boris.  I might add just a bit of hawthrorn that the Electricity blokes cut down in early spring which is still sitting by the track, once i reduce it to firewood - - - we shall see

A PEEK AT THE PAPER

The headline in the Express should be read by all the "remain" voters The EU is after making Britain put VAT on all its exempt and zero rated items  Childrens Clothes, Domestic Fuel, Funerals and books could all be hit and the result, the story says would be £2600 for each household - - - Andy Murray's wife looks pleased as he wins the mens finals at Queens yesterday making it his 5th time to create an historic record.
