LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
with the breeze the 8.5c Temp is not all that mild at the moment.  The Barometic Tendency to sunshine symbol gives us a bit of hope that it might be warmer than yesterday
The weathercam has another grey sky but the clouds don't look to be too heavy just now.  Forecasters are confident there will not be any rain today and are offering "Sunny Intervals" after 09:00

The chart above is from Metcheck   and goes some way to explaining the current bout of cool blustery weather we are having in the UK .  The jet stream is not behaving itself currently and the 2 circled blobs on the chart are low pressure areas causing cool air to be drawn down from  the Scandinavian area.  Normally this would be blocked and warm air would be drawn up from the Med area.  At the moment any change in our weather is not apparent to the forecasters

A bit of a slack day yesterday because we ventured just North of Manchester to visit my sister.  The difference in the weather was quite surprising.  Glorious sunshine over there and definitely a few degrees warmer.  As soon as we got on the M60 to come home we could see the cloud hanging on to the hills around Kinder and Sparrowpit.   Back home we settled down and once again lit the log burner! watching Andy Murray in the French Open we spotted an Ad for Wimbledon which we thought said it started on the 9th of June.  Checking online the dates are 27th June 10th July ???!!

A PEAK AT THE PRESS
The Express looks to have a follow up from its £100 per migrant boats story of yesterday, plying the straits of Dover.  They now camp on the beaches waiting for the boats! - - -
Andrew Castle, the bloke in the photo is apparently taken aback when speaking to East End Taxi Driver "Alfie".  The tirade from the Taxi Driver rips into Tony Blair then the current politicians for putting us in the immigration mess we are in today - - - The Brexit campaign should also get this East Ender in front of a microphone pronto!
