LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
Once again the Netweather rain radar has nothing on it this morning. I did notice last night that Metcheck put out a flash weather warning about a group of thunderstorms in Cheshire to the East of us.  They just developed and then drifted away into North Wales.
Another double figure Temp start to the day with just a hint of a breeze right now
The weathercam has another misty start especially on the Nine Ladies hill. Forecasters are split today on their predictions.  Metcheck say we are to have wall to wall sunshine the whole day.  The Met O with its Peak District forecast go for a more measured approach.  The day will start cloudy and once it thins it will be hot with maybe the odd short sharp shower in the afternoon.  I'm going for a middle path between the 2.  I think the mist will be slow to clear like it was yesterday but the afternoon could be pretty hot once the cloud thins out.

LM has the warm option for breakfast after catching this great tit in the garden at 05:30!

This is a demo from a jackdaw of how to get a peanut out of the feeder
even though i lengthened the fat ball cage again the birds find a way to get at it
A jackdaw looks on while a magpie has a go at the fat ball
This Jackdaw cant quite get at the fat ball but eventually it gets a peanut and appears to "cock a snoot" at the camera, as it leaves

I had a major triumph yesterday when i managed to beat the big corporations built in obsolescence factor!  I have long held a belief that some things are just built to fail after a while, especially electrical items.   It was then no surprise when my chargeable electric shaver failed to charge any-more.  I figured it was the charger which was part of the plug and not the shaver.  The thing had information on it indicating it was input 240v output 12v 500ma.  I searched around in my shed and found a trickle charge for vehicles with exactly the same spec.  I didnt even have to figure out which was + or - because it was also printed on the old charger.  Cutting off the lead and connecting it up to the trickle charger resulted in the shaver buzzing away merrily after a couple of minutes charging! result! - - -

We had waited during the week with anticipation of a Gardening Festival & Market this weekend at the Peak Shopping Village.  Sounds grand doesn't it Peak Shopping Village its on the site of a former steel factory that closed down years before it was converted into shops.  It is busy sometimes but retailers come and go if you get the meaning.  Anyway, we drove down and walked around the "Festival".  All we could see were 2 stalls one selling bird boxes and another with a small display of plants - - - disappointing, - - - we were looking for some pea plants but it would seem we are just not going to find any this year! - - -

A PEAK AT THE PAPER
The Express has a couple of stories about Ali in its pages today.  definitely a legend, he particularly liked England because he didn't suffer the racial prejudice he did back home - - -
