LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
The weather fronts from the Atlantic look set to give us a good wetting today but they are moving incredibly slowly.  I had a quick look at this display last night and any movement has been minimal overnight .
a more localised display shows the remnants of some overnight rain and it looks as if Manchester is getting some rain right now
Quite humid out but even the 16.9c feels fresh after the rain
The weathercam has a little mist in the valley most likely from the evaporating rain.  The "seaweed" indicates just a whisper of a breeze from the S at the moment.  Today's forecast looks set for some rain but amounts from forecasters vary considerably - - -

It was down to Oxfordshire yesterday to visit No 1 daughter (the elder).  The trip down was a revelation! setting off at just before 9 we didn't have any holdups and made it by 11:15, we would pay for that on the way back.  Deciding to eat elsewhere than the local village pub we picked one in Banbury.  Purely by chance My Daughters step sister came into the pub with her husband!  During the conversation i learned that at school my daughter was the "tobacco baron" and would leave school at lunchtime buy a packet of cigarettes to sell individually at a vast profit! - - - Scandalous!  The trip back along the speed controlled section of the M42 was a start stop affair for ages because the system appeared to have malfunctioned!

On our return home, eventually, i spotted this Bee or Wasp using the camera port in the greenhouse at the top of the garden as a door - - - great sound effects!

This one shows the Jacdaws have found yet another avenue of approach to the fatballs that needs shutting off

LM who looked ot have spent the day indoors decided to do a bit of exploring on our return.  At one point it almost looks like he's licking the camera - - - very funny
He finally settles down behind the camera and eventually had a sleep on top of the woodpile

A PEAK AT THE PAPER
Its a pity HM's birthday couldn't grace centre stage on the Express this morning but another Brexit commercial  has that honour - - - At the referendum if its in or out its time we did more to stop this tide of migrants especially the criminal element taking advantage of the open border EU policy - - -
