A dampener on Solstice day - - - & - - - Final push for the EU campaign in the paper

Enjoy the day – Enjoy the weather

LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
very little in the way of rain on the Netweather display this morning.  Could the Solstice be the trigger to change the recent weather pattern?
I'm a bit earlier than usual so I suppose the single figure Temp is to be expected especially after what was a pretty clear night sky
the weathercam looks much better than of late .  Forecasters are looking at a fine day but still hedging their bets by predicting a little rain amongst the sunny periods

With the rain hammering down on Summer Solstice day yesterday we had a pretty slack day but today looks good for a little spell at "the Gym"
just to show that other birds than the jackdaws and magpies do get to use the feeders, here is a video of a Blackbird and Great Tit enjoying themselves

A PEEK AT THE PAPER

The Express chases the Older voter this morning with its headline and Mr Farage has a spot in a banner headline.  Two soap stars take up the the other news spot on the front page

I just missed seeing the Strawberry moon this morning as it disappeared behind the clouds close to the horizon on the SW edge of Derwent Valley.

I heard a quote by the Ginger Whinger yesterday that the Glastonbury Festival this year was going to be mudless - - - not according to the story at the end of the link it isn't.  A Met O quote in the article backs it up - - -
