LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
The Netweather.TV rain display has a larger blob than yesterday so its looking likely we will be in for some rain later
Its a double figure Temp right now but earlier it was 9.8 and feeling rather cool.
the sky around 05:00 looked quite promising with a 50% scattered cloud covering.  The Met O forecast looks at rain this morning and some chance of sunshine this afternoon.  Metcheck promote rain, light from now until 09:00 then gradully getting heavier until 18:00 then clearing to give sunny skies until dusk - - - my money is on rain from around midday with only a glimpse of the sun as it leaves the valley
=======================================
Talking about the Sun it has apparently gone blank - - - must say i hadn't noticed
This article in the Metro  reckons we could be headed for a mini ice age as a result.  Something to do with a phenomenon called a solar minimum which will happen in 2019 -2020  - - -

We both set off early yesterday to pick up Boris after his new bumper had been fitted
Steve is a bit of a Land Rover expert and he had been tasked to do the job.  He even resolved an issue we had with a strange bumping noise when going over rough ground.

the old bumper was in a bit of a state
the plastic light surrounds could do with a bit of attention now!

Sally takes Boris back home while i walk down and tackle the first of the 2 Hawthorn clusters i felled the other day
its a lengthy porocess but eventually i get down to the last main trunk
 Tadaa! today's exercise is done
a couple more rows on the back wall of the new stash are added

The other day in the garden we were sitting on the terrace just below the bird feeder.  We had noticed a neighbours cat wandering around, probably drawn by all the action around our bird feeder.
LM was snoozing in the shade on one of his favourite spots
he then decides its time for some sun and out of nowhere the neighbours cat, christened spot by us comes and sits on LM's recntly vacated spot
there was a lot of staring then a bold move by spot
but it was only for show as he slunk off back to the rock
settling down once again, just to make his point LM starts to ignore him and he leaves
LM wanders over to the rock and checks it for scent then comes over and gives us his "we are not amused"gaze.

A PEEK AT TODAY'S PAPERS

The banners have the woefully pathetic reminder that the England team have been dumped out of the Euro competition by an island with fewer people on it than Chesterfield, and not a single professional football team.  Stock market advice i fear comes a little late the time to strike was the day of the Brexit result but i imagine the city boys are lining up with more "good ideas" for bonuses
the main story is of Farage's blast at the  Brussels mob, that must have been Soooo satisfying for him.  The PM tells them their stand on immigration is to blame for the UK's Brexit.  HM tells a former IRA man she's still alive - - -

The Metro front page has an amusing photo of the Labour Leader, there's something really irritating about a stubborn man topped only by, "A stupid stubborn one" - - - - -
Andrew Castle has a great rant at Junker in this article/video
and some great front page reactions to ~Brexit from around the world
