The wood burner is all fired up - - - & - - - Brexit moves along a little

Enjoy the day – Enjoy the weather
=======================================
LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
with the rain on the display moving off to the continent and why not, its looking like it might be a fine day for us
 The Temp is once again down to 4.9c having got there a few minutes ago.  The 3.1mm of rain on the stats  is the result of  afternoon and overnight rain yesterday
The weathercam view has been lightened by the camera but its not far off the true picture.  There is some cloud about but its looking quite clear at the moment.
The Forecast is thus: Metcheck sunny all day no rain top Temp 14c.  The Met O winds dying down sunny and a top Temp of 15c - - -

With the 4.9c yesterday it was time to fire up the wood burner
 the time spent stocking up the wood shed now proves worth it!
LM signals the cooling weather by sitting on his old towels covering the red settee.  He hasn't been on it since last winter! - - -

========================
With the 4.9c and the fog/mist swirling around the valley yesterday  it was time to dig out the wooly hat and gloves and stride around my Round Robin walk - - its a good 30 minute walk up to the tiny village of Tinkersley  back downhill to the river at Rowsley then along the river footpath back home
 I pass the "lone Sentinel" after removing the dead and dying mini pines the other day.  Eventually I'm hoping to be able to plant some of our propagated laurels there.
 The council are "on the ball" and have already topped up the roadside salt piles although with the size of this one i think they are erring on the optimistic side!
 the sheep dont seem to mind the cooler weather and get on nibbling the grass
 walking up the hill towards the village the sun is struggling to burn off the fog and the spiders webs on the hedge are easily spotted covered in moisture
 up at the water trough photo spot  the viz is down to around 150m
 around the pond its a similar view
 into the woods and at last the trackway so mushed up by the logging operation last year is taking on a firmer look
 i still cant quite figure out why the whole area wasn't cleared but there we go maybe they'll finish off next year
 crossing the top of the private golf course i spot a squirrel who now has an urgency collecting acorns i haven't seen before this autumn
 On the way down the hill and the sun still has not made an impression on the viz yet.  Its feeling pretty cool at this spot
 down at the river and i scare up a trio of ducks from their breakfast
This cross river view has a hint of the mist clearing as the viz is almost 300m now
 The river level is still very low and its going to take a fair amount of rain to build it up
 This is an offshoot of the multi million £ cycle track.  The yard in the photo had some of their ground taken over and they were given the piece in the foreground to compensate.  The concrete base is covering a stream and i wondered yesterday if they are going to put a building on it.  Time will tell
a final shot across the river then glad of my wooly hat and gloves i walk home to the blazing log burner and a cup of tea. - - -

A PEEK AT THE PAPER
The Sunday banners show the co-op offering free chocolate digestive biscuits
The main story At last Brexit begins looks great and it has to be said its a move in the right direction.  The idea is to bring in an act of parliament that will take back control of our laws from the EU.  There is still a long way to go because the act will not become law until the day we cut the ties with the EU.
