LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
http://www.netweather.tv precipitation display
quite a number of rain blobs on the display this morning.  Its hard to imagine all of them missing us !
===
Its pretty cold this morning down at 3.4c and with just a little shower overnight its quite damp just now
The weathercam on the other hand has a cracking view of clear blue sky above the valley.  The sun is on the other side of the valley but this late in the year it will be a little while before we get to feel its benefit
---
Todays local weather forecast:  Met O acknowledges the rain showers from the East but thinks we might not see any until this afternoon.  Before and after that we are going to have sunny periods with some cloud building throughout the day.  Towards nightfall the clouds will clear bringing a chilly night.  Metcheck sees a wall to wall sunny day after 09:00 whilst also looking for a couple of showers in the afternoon.  The Max Temp for the day is predicted at a cool 12 - 13c - - -

Hurricane matthew  has reportedly killed 10 people as it hits the US coast.  Wide spread flooding is also a problem particularly in the Carolinas.  In Haiti, hit by Matthew earlier in the week the death toll is said to be approaching 900 with some parts of the country 90% destroyed - - -
having never been near a hurricane, and never wanting to.  This BBC Story inspired guide to the categories is illuminating.

Yesterday with Sally away on a mission I set to creating a Facebook page to promote the book.  Here's hoping it might help spread the word a little.  I had one request for a paperback version but that might be sometime away - - -
Having done that it was time to play with the new LED security floodlight i bought the other day.  Its a breeze to set up and the controls are a little more sophisticated than the old bulb types.  Of course the proof of the pudding etc was what would it do at night.
I had set it up to come on in daylight anyway, well how do you know its working or not? the trip point for it was just at the back of Boris so that was perfect.  At night though the tripping point goes way further out into the shared right of way.  I'll leave it as is for the time being and see how many times it is triggered before adjusting it.
Next its the turn of the camera to record the illuminated events but i need to do a little more work in that department - - -

A PEEK AT THE PAPER

Ms Berry gets centre stage on the banner of the Sunday Express with a recipe book "for just £4" although i expect all the recipes are online anyway - - -
The main headline is something that will not happen until after we cut the cord with the EU.   Its not a bad idea but the fluent English  test doesn't want to be too difficult or it could be discriminatory against people seeking the "ordinary" jobs - - -
---
Mr Corbyn's sacking of his chief whip seen here on the left has put the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons in the Labour camp with other whips on the verge of quitting.  Mr C knows how to get up peoples noses doesnt he? - - -
---
Another politician getting up peoples noses is Mr T over the pond This Guardian story  highlights his Faux pas years ago about groping women without their consent.  Supporters of him are jumping ship and Robert De Niro says "I'd like to punch Donald Trump in the face " (!?) - - -
