LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
http://www.netweather.tv precipitation display
Another day when there is not a drop of rain showing on the display form Netweather.TV.  According to the Met O long range forecasters this trend might continue until near the end of October but only be replaced with windy and sometimes wet weather.  Its looking like we might be a couple of weeks into November until we see winter weather.
Single figure Temp again this morning and a nice clear starlit sky out there at the moment.

I'll post a weathercam view later

Todays forecast:  The Met O say the Peak District is meant to be windy (from the East)  with "a noticeable wind chill".  The cloud cover will be more than of late but they are not indicating any rain.
Metcheck have a similar forecast of cloud and windy conditions.  Their forecast hedges its bets with 0.1mm of rain prediction for the afternoon period.  Top Temp today of between 12 - 16c

A trip down to see N0 1 daughter (the elder) was in order yesterday.  We hadn't seen each other since July because of holidays etc.  She announced that her part time job as a Barister at a local coffee house was over because of allergy's.  Shame really but now she's looking for other challenges.  As usual the trip down and back was the
 wacky races that the M1 is, pity we dont drive like the Canadians !!

It has to be said we have had a good year in the pond! The water has been crystal clear since late May and the casualties minimal, strange how stress kills a couple each year?? .
I cleaned out the filter boxes the other day and that might be almost the last time this year if the cold weather comes soon. I'll be taking out the large volume pump and filter from the setup today and mothballing it until next spring
It wont be long until its cold enough for the small filter boxes to handle the job through the winter Brrrrrr!

A PEEK AT THE PAPERS

The banners would have us believe that playing golf  adds years to your life - - - spoils a good walk lol - - - and the Beano annual, normally a Christmas thing back in the old days is yours for 2.99
 The main headline is once again from the TPC and it proclaims This lady is for turning (Britain Around)  I hope she's around long enough to make a difference - - -
TM sends out a warning from the Mail  headline indicating she is after the Tax Advisers that give advice on "avoidance" her chilling message for the advisers and the avoiders is "We're coming after you"
