LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
There is a little rain showing on the Netweather display just now but with the clouds being driven SE to NW I dont think it will bother us today - - -
Its already quite warm out this morning and it looks like we could be in for asnother 20c plus day
the weathercam (looking just South of West) is showing a fine view with just a little cloud amongst the "red eye" con trails going down to London
===============================================================
nothing of eye watering significance on the front of the Express today so lets move on - - -

After the exertions of the previous day felling those groups of trees we decided that Sunday would be a take it easy day. - - -
With the pond turning just a hint of a shade of green with the algae bloom being caused by the sun i decided to take action. I re-introduced the large capacity pump and cylindrical pressure filter in an attempt to process the water faster while still leaving the box filters and pumps running.  They are working but quickly become overwhelmed by the algae they are filtering out.
I washed out all the filter box foams and even cleaned out the bottom of one filter box.  I know it kills off the good bacterial action of all the filter media but i'm hoping the other one will be enough in this regard until the others come back up to speed.  Another idea we had was to buy a large brolly in an attempt to keep the sun of the largest part of the pond, this is on its way to us and will be commissioned as soon as it arrives

After unloading Boris of his cargo brought down from the logging area the previous day it was time for an afternoon beer in the sunshine.

 sitting there musing on how quirky the English weather can be we started to notice how the last few warm days has kick started a number of trees bushes and plants this cherry right at the top of the garden had barely a blossom on it last year but its covered in it right now
this is a bay, just like the leaves you cook with and it too is covered in blossom like its never been before
 The Miniature 2 types of apple tree is coming into its own, the bluebells are fully out and the red quince blossoms just keep coming out
 three or four days ago this fern had all its tendrils all folded down in the root ball.  Its reaching for the sky now though
Just after 14:00 we popped inside to watch an hour or so of the giro-d-Italia on its last day in Holland.  The weather was similar to the UK with huge crowds watching the event and cheering on thier own riders.  Its a day off today while they transit to the South of Italy to resume tomorrow.
