LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
Not quite a clear display on the Netweather rain radar. Locally we should be OK today but tomorrow will be a different story
Still cold out and once again a touch of frost on a couple of roofs.
The sun is already down at river level on the other side of the valley.  It will be a while before its in the garden.  Top Temp today is meant to be around 15c with cloud building and the possibility of some rain early evening.

The Express has another Brexit headline and the cost quoted is staggering.  The time for the vote is not far off and yesterday there was an advert on the TV about another leaflet coming out in the post about the pro's and cons.  On our way to the garden centre the other day i was surprised to see an old guy with a table, "Vote Leave" pamphlets and banner just down the road, touting his business - - -

I dont litter  , not even banana skins when i'm out walking in the hills since seeing an article on how much orange peel is on the top of Scafell Pike. I dont quite understand the people that throw away any of the above except the apple core but this article from the Mail is an eye opener  on how long stuff thrown on the ground can take to rot away. - - -

being a bit of a weather geek i have 3 webcams i like to look at each morning just to see what the current weather is like in other countries.  The one above is in Finland and should normally be looking at a roundabout on a country road complex
I think something has gone seriously wrong with the mounting because it appears to be looking anywhere other than at the roundabout!

I forgot to take photos of the end result the on Saturday when we removed the large tree from over the stream.  In the foreground are two large trunk sections
and these are the even bigger lower trunk sections.  The base of the tree can just be seen in the centre of the shot
I had loaded up Boris with bag number 5 for the wood store and then had an hour at the Ash trees.  I left this lot where it was and will stack it today
this pile is going to quite a significant one before i move on to the area of the larger trees in the shots above
back home and unloaded with just about one and a half layers done.

this is a shot from the garden cam just a couple of minutes before 22:00 yesterday - - -
