LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
No rain showing anywhere in the UK on the Netweather display this morning
 Another double figure Temp to start the day but quite a layer of thick cloud at the moment
the weathercam has a good view of the cloud which both Met O and Metcheck forecast will clear and give us a sunny day later

There is nothing new in the large print headline but i have to agree with the smaller title Quitting the EU is only way to control border - - -  the banner headline has the usual Express health revelation - - -

flicking through the front pages of the newspapers there are quite a few photos of Mr Clooney's wife at some do or other, this one however caught my eye claiming the dress cost £50k! - - - it does have the look of just having stepped out of the shower and thrown a towel over her shoulder? - - -

The forecast for yesterday gave me the idea it would be a cloudy day but little chance of any rain, i went up to do a bit of logging
 but couldnt risk taking Boris down to the site to collect some winter firewood the "ambush committee" were waiting, Bertie and Napkin might run off into the farmyard and there was no one around to temp them with the ginger nut biscuits i had in the Defender
 uncovering the pile i could feel the weather improving as the cloud thinned
 I secured a couple of poles to the end of the pile in order to be able to stack the bits higher.  I'm going to leave them this high so the buzzards and kestrels can perch on them and scan the valley
 I stripped off all the small branches from one half of a recently felled ash tree and added that to the pile
by the time i had finished for the day the sun was shining and it was quite hot
====================
having looked at sighting the pole used to support the garden brolly shading the pond where it is in this photo
it struck me that it would be firmer to pop into the end of the raised bed and fill around it with postcrete.  Job done, testing the brolly will be done later today
