LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
Just about the whole of the UK looks to be getting some rain today from the look of the Netweather radar display
quite a warm Temp but the rain figures tell the real story if this morning
the weathercam has a view of the latest shower heading straight for it and my "seaweed" most definitely has a drop of rain coming from it.  The Met O forecasters would have us believe that the day will brighten  and we shall have sunny spells from 15:00 but the Metcheck boys claim the rain will be at its worst at - - - guess when? 15:00 to 18:00 Mmmmmmm - - the fickle English weather, don't you just love it! - - -

With a jaundiced glance at the cloudy sky i set off to have a go at the last of the Ash rounds yesterday
Bertie and Napkin nowhere in sight i sneaked into the field area and loaded Boris up from the only stash at the higher level.  This is the last load of decent cut wood from here.  There might be 2 loads of chunky pieces which I'll remove just before winter to empty it altogether
Apart from a small number of thickish branches, these rounds are the last of the stuff on the knoll for a while.
this is the before photo of the pile
 and this the after
from the track its quite a significant pile now
this was the same shot on the day i started stacking the pile on the 30th of Jan
I'll be moving onto these two larger trees now.  we have already removed the far one up onto the bank because it was lying over the stream the blokes want to clear. Just before i finished yesterday i got rid of a few branches from the nearer one which were in the stream.  There are a number of dead branches from someone else's efforts a few years ago underfoot and i promptly tripped and fell into a load of nettles! - - -

A PEAK AT TODAY'S NEWS

A very dramatic headline in the Express as it turns out yesterdays intruder is of questionable character!
A bit of an own goal i fear in this story as the chancellor is warning us UK house prices will COLLAPSE if we leave the EU, why dont the Govt just come out and admit the WORLD WILL END IF WE LEAVE THE EU and have done with it

In the Giro D'Italia a gutsy almost 50km ride with two hard ascents at the end of stage 13 saw Mikel Nieve win the stage.  The pink jersey wearer Bob Jungels was relegated to second place by Andre Amador and the expected charge by Vincenzo Nibili failed to materialise but he gained valuable time bonus seconds on the finish line to end up third in the GC.
Todays stage profile and its 210km distance will be one for the tough guys to show their stuff
