The Express gives front page news to the current temperature which is set to last all week and reach 75F, thats 20c in Euros, next weekend.  The banner headline about keeping fit to fight off Dementia is a bit of an oldie, maybe a slack Bank Holiday news day? - - -

This one caught my eye, Ms Sturgeon wants a second Referendum for Scotland to leave the Union "as a matter of principle" its sounds to me more like If its not broken FIX IT TILL IT IS" to me - - -

This story sounds OK to me  tips for service should go straight to the staff it proclaims.  I dont see anything wrong with that.  There are allegations that some employers use it as part of the staff pay, which again in the big scheme of things i don't mind.  I mean why should anyone get "tipped" for "just doing their job" ? - -  What really gets my goat are the establishments that, if you pay by credit card, say "just follow the instructions" as they hand you the machine.  You are then subject to "Should or Shouldnt I", because the machine forces you to add a tip or say "No".  I always take it as a challenge and ignore it, if i use the place again i will always pay by cash after that.

These two climbers, Alex Lowe and Dabid Bridges, went missing 16 years ago when climbing on Shishapangma in Tibet.  A huge avalanche swept them to their deaths.  Climbers last week saw what appeared to be two bodies emerging from a glacier on the mountain.  They later confirmed by describing clothing to family members that the bodies were indeed Lowe and Bridges.  - - -

The lady in the photo had to go into hospital for 2 weeks so the RSPCA stepped in and took her 6 cats away, putting one down "because it was old" and also took her 3 pure bread sheep away and shot them! "all done in the best interest of the animals and with all the necessary approvals, in the presence of the police" - - -  of course - - -

doing my normal daily patrol in the garden of feeding the fish then the birds and checking on all the new plants.  I came across the only two Apricots on our little tree on the floor of the greenhouse.  The frost and cold of the last few days were obviously too much for them - - - hey ho maybe next year! - -

WEATHER TODAY
Here's the latest rain radar display from Netweather and because its Bank Holiday Monday its going to rain! The blob is moving from the South East to the North West at 40mph we should be getting some around lunchtime i imagine
11.3c !! i could hardly believe the Temp this morning.  I had read it would be getting warmer but what an increase! dont you just love our weather?  Even the breeze is not going to cool it down much this morning
However, the weathercam is showing the true story i reckon, grey and heavy looking cloud .  We will not be getting off scot free and as the radar display above shows its going to rain today more likely towards lunchtime and in the afternoon - - -
