LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
not a great deal of rain about in the UK from the Netweather display this morning we might even get away with another dry day.  France has a nice blob of rain , and don't they deserve it - - -
 Once again we are almost in double Temp figures now. Just a hint of a breeze coming form the North, it should lose its cold edge in the coming days
 the weathercam has quite a bit of cloud at the moment in view.  Forecasters disagree how much rain we will get today.  It is however the same picture they painted yesterday when it didn't rain at all - - - fingers crossed
the weathercam caught the moon around 05:00 before it set this morning
========================================================
Expecting rain almost all day we were casting our gaze into the approaching fluffy white clouds as we poked and prodded bits and bobs in the garden.
 i should have taken a before photo of this pot.  It has a bunch of Oregano roots in it but it had been invaded by grass and took quite a bit of untangling
Oregano is something we planted years ago when we determined to have a "herb garden" with mixed results.  Following the tried and trusted path of popular herbs the plot soon resembled a hillside in dry arid Cyprus.  It all had to go! removing just about everything we noticed that Oregano kept appearing in unlikely places.  For years now when a tiny plant starts to grow up will go the cry of "oh look Oregano!" the one in this photo is growing on a bed of gravel that has plastic underneath it.  The Lupin under the legs of a metal table is another oddity in our garden.  Try as we might for years they would never last more than a season.  Now they look to be competing with the Oregano.

Raiding 2 garden centres looking for peas and not being successful we popped into The Church  for some silent reflection and contemplation - - - lol - - - before returning home
  The Peach is finally out of the greenhouse with a hope we don't get any-more frost

the garden camera picked up this shot around 22:08 last night

and here are a couple of shots from just after 05:00 this morning from the top of the garden, the moon did look rather large as it descended towards the horizon
I also spotted this early riser on the bird table before i had put out the daily food

A PEAK AT TODAY'S FRONT-PAGE NEWS

Forget all this low fat nonsense  is the main thrust of the report attached to the headline and it urges people to get back to "real food" like steak, eggs, butter and full fat milk.  Of course the minions from on high are still touting their usual "low fat & proven to lower cholesterol" messages which they have been for decades now.  They brand the report in the article "irresponsible".  My theory of "everything you put in your mouth will eventually be bad for you" gets an airing here.  It would appear that steak, eggs, butter and full fat milk" are not so bad after all.  The high street giants who must be making millions out of the "low fat" food on their shelves must be quaking in the boots! - - - Dont forget your Benecol - - -
