Another glossing over  of the Madelaine Mcann story although i cant find any reference to it on the Express website, the Spanish detective who has already published one book on the case is set to publish a second - - -

There's a touch of irony in this one  the photo is of Sadiq Khan, the headline of the story says that Mr Khan claims the Anti-Semitism row is damaging labour .  When it should say he is complaining that it might stop him getting elected Mayor of London - - - Mr Livingstone gets another mention in the furore engulfing the Labour Party.  - -  -

The symbolic burning  of seized Elephant Ivory in Kenya seems a noble gesture but will it stop the killing of elephants? i dont think so - - - at least it does show that there is an active programme trying to stamp out the poaching and killing of Elephants - - -

WEATHER TODAY
Here's todays blob of precipitation ready to dampen down the UK its moving at around 30 mph so we might have a couple of hours before it arrives locally
 Its still below zero right now but the sun is already on the other side of the valley so it should rise quite soon
 the weathercam is looking at a clear-ish sky and it looks quite pleasant at the moment.  The Metcheck forecast is looking at cloudy skies and rain for most of the day from around 08:00
====================================================
With the sun shining yesterday and the prospect of any snow/rain a few hours away i decided to try my luck and go for a load of wood and fell a few pole like hawthorns

 having forgotten to change my camera from macro to normal (Doh!) after I took photos of the frosted plants in the garden  I didn't notice the blurred photo of Boris backed up to an old stash ready to load up
 after loading i still haven't sussed it out, the trees i'm here for are in the middle of the photo
The sky started to darken and i knew it was going to rain so i moved Boris up the track to the farm just in time.  As i am walking back down to pile up the firewood i could see the sleety snow coming down the valley towards me
 thankful i had my anorak on rather than my light jacket i zipped it up rolled out the hood and got stuck in.  Of course just as i finish stacking and take this photo the heavy shower passes and i trudge up to Boris in the farmyard with the sun struggling to get through the light cloud
back home and under cover i unload as another shower is beginning - - - not a bad coupler of hours work
