Storm Desmond is with us & Christmas trees are on display

this dramatic pic accompanies a Sky News story about Storm Desmond as gale force winds sweep the UK.  Warnings are issued of 2.5 to 4 inches of rain quite widely in much of the UK and some mountainous areas might even get up to 8 inches in the next 30 hours

 the current http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ chart shows the wind arrows at around 60 mph for much of the country, the rain radar shows the precipitation just North of our area at the moment

Accuweather has this story  about the heaviest rains in southern India and Sri Lanka for a long time, over a foot of rain fell on the 1st of December in the Chenai making it the wettest day "in more than a 100 years of recording - - -

LM looks a little nervous of the 2 St Nicholas on the sideboard, he had taken to the wardrobe when we began bringing down the trees etc from the attic
The trees are up and the lights are on, we even have some presents already under the nearest tree
