A skipping world record?! & another wet day for us

Obviously a slack day for news at the Express or are they tired of the flood stories, a pic of a bloke carrying a Christmas tree has an inset of a car in the flood water with a warning of more Snow and rain on the way
towards the weekend .
=================================
following the slack news day lead from the Express then heres a video of the world skipping record being broken - - - Mmm
==========================
on a positive note though the deluge of rain in the past few days has eased a little and the http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ chart shows its snowing in the highlands at the moment and foggy in the midlands
=========================================
While the Weather Channel is looking forward and indicating that the Rain will return this weekend with some snow to add to the misery already suffered by the flooded parts of the country

It was a pretty busy day in the shop yesterday with rather more than the usual band of happy shoppers snapping at the heels of the fast disappearing "Christmas Bargains".  I got talking to 2 of the regular old dears and on telling them i'm finishing after today's (Mondays) shift, one of them drew closer and in a "conspiratorial tone" said to me, "Here's a bit of advice for you, yesterday is History tomorrow is a Mystery, today is a GIFT!, spend the time wisely".  Then smiling and tapping the side of her nose with her forefinger she gave me a wink and a grin and off she tottered to the check outs - - - brilliant!- - -
=====================================
 Its cold damp and foggy out this morning
no pic yet on the weathercam but it just about picks up the fog in the diffused glow from the street lamp peeping over the top of the houses.  The forecast is for the light rain of yesterday to return around midday and to remain well into the night
