Just a little respite from Storm Desmond today

As expected the news is full of the effects of the rain in the North of the UK this morning.  This pic from Appleby and This live report a few minutes ago (06:44 Sunday) indicate that the epicentre of the Storm Desmond will be in Keswick at 08:00 the wind is reported to be stronger than yesterday and although the water level has dropped overnight the rain is currently very heavy - - - -
==========================================
with the UK on the right of this pic the band of weather we are having at the moment stretches all the way across the Atlantic to Miami which is currently having its 3rd wettest December on record! - - -
=====================
This Sky News video  shows the effects of the rain on a small mountain stream which is now a raging torrent
====================================
Locally it was a very windy day yesterday but we didn't have any rain although the sky looked threatening a number of times.  Earlier this morning there was a little rain on the wind but not enough to even wet the pavements.  Currently its a blustery cloudy morning and the forecast is for it to brighten a bit later and feel cooler than the present 12.5c
=================================
the current rain chart from http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/observations shows the rain coming inland from the coast
===========================
A very warm but blustery start this morning
the clouds are visible on the weathercam even now
08:00 clouded over completely and the blustery wind is driving the clouds along at a pace
Enjoy the day
