Etna blows its top & its time for the Christmas trees

having followed the Oscar Pistorius case closely it seems incredible that he is now found guilty of murder rather than manslaughter.  An appeals court overturned the earlier verdict because, "the lower court did not correctly apply the rule of dolus eventualis - whether Pistorius knew that a death would be a likely result of his actions" - - - unbelievable!!! - - -

 walking by the river yesterday the level is still quite high after all the recent rain 

 the early mist on the hills hung around well into the early afternoon 

We have used up our first layer of firewood now so Boris gets to be a little further into his car port

for the best part of 2 weeks during November next doors fence was leaning the other way towards our Laurels.  I used the 2 post lying on the ground to prop it up during that time but the recent high winds have now blown it the other way and the post which had been holding it up on their side has fallen away.  So here's our answer,  these are 2 of a line of posts we are erecting and will form the basis of a new fence when and if next doors fence is removed or finally falls over
