Promise of snow - - again & lunchtime logging with No 1 Daughter (the elder)

Interesting story on the front of the Express this link is to the HM gov paper on the "news" one quote says "3 million women receiving an average of £11 a week more by 2030 as a result of the changes" - - - Mmmmmm - - -

The Express also warns about the coming weekend with Temps of -15c and the possibility of snow almost anywhere in the UK - - - haven't they been saying this all week ? - - -

This magpie looks like it needs a light
Thank you  - - -

the headline to this story says Ite easier in the US to buy a gun than a Frappuccino
strange that i should find this because at lunch yesterday with No 1 Daughter (the elder), who loves the U.S.A. i was rambling on about one of the reasons I have no (present) desire to visit the country - - -
==============================================
Talking of No 1 Daughter (the elder) we visited for lunch yesterday it was a challenging journey down but we had set off early in order to help with reducing a few logs to firewood
i got the easy job of using the chainsaw, it was pine so no problem for the machine
the girls get the hard bit of bagging up the bits and storing them.  I had a go at some larger bit with a maul  so they could go straight on the fire as well as having taken the half dozen bags down that we filled the other day from one of our stashes
down to the serious part of the day - - Lunch
Returning North the traffic was quite heavy but moving along quite well and it took less time than the morning  journey - - -
==========================================
 we managed an overnight Temp of -3.2c around 23:30 before it gradually climbed through the night and its been just above freezing for about 30 minutes now.  The breeze will make it feel very cold though and the frost is still around.  As usual my weather machine is starting to act up in the cold, it will lose contact with the inside console at times and not show any data on the website! - - -
we have a nice weathercam pic of the dawn sky with a star still visible.  The forecasters are promising us some sunshine to day but it will be a wrap up warm routine for any outside activity
=========================================
I shall be looking for my bionic ear up at our logging site today but i don't hold out much hope of finding it.
Its also looking like i might have to re-visit my surgeon in Derby because one lump that was left behind in the recent operation is starting to give me a few niggles!

Enjoy the day
