"Migrant homes" go to Flood Victims & A grey old day yesterday

Interesting headline on the Express this morning A Cumbrian council has been granted a government exemption from a "requirement" to house Syrian migrant families.  The homes in question will now be rented to their own flood affected residents.  I wonder how much rent the Syrian migrants would be paying? - - -

Mobile phone providers set people up to fail  according to this Sky News story .  This all comes from a report by The Citizens Advice charity..  The report throws rocks at providers for not assessing if people can really afford the contracts they are signing up for, and letting individuals take out multiple contracts despite already being in debt.  There's used to be a factor in life called "common sense" which now seems to be offloaded in this case to mobile phone providers  - - - I see a massive miss selling scam on the scale of "have you got PPI" on the horizon lol!

This Mail story  informs us that the cold snap is over and the Midlands this weekend might have Temps as high as 14c because of a band of tropical air which will be with us after some early morning rain today - - -

In the US on the other hand they are set for a weekend of Snow according to this BBC story
This USA today story shows where the snow is likely to fall  Its often a trait that once the East coast has finished with their weather the UK might get similar treatment a few days later- - -

The http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ rain radar is showing precipitation to be almost everywhere at the moment, it should clear before noon though

I did a little logging yesterday hoping the weather would clear like it had the previous day.  Having forgotten not only my camera but my phone as well i have no pics of the proceedings.  The whole day was very grey and misty and at the site it was not very comfortable for the couple of hours i spent there. Hopefully with the promise of warmer Temps and even some sunshine in the next couple of days I'll be able to continue building my wall!

still pretty cool at just below 6c.  The breeze was quite noticeable during the night but it seems to have decreased as daylight arrives
Lots of cloud on the weathercam and the forecast indicates it will be around until at least lunchtime.  We might see some sunshine this afternoon as the Temp is set to get near double figures.
