Todays headline of Big freeze to last a week gives the jet stream "nosedive" to the south of the UK as part of the reason for the upcoming wintery conditions. Early next week there is a chance of snow almost anywhere in the UK say forecasters - - -

I had another busy day with the book yesterday trying to finish the final proof read, I had sent part of it to an old Army colleague the previous day and was wondering what he might think of it. Apart from me asking him about the odd memory he had not been party to the book as i went along.
However late afternoon yesterday i received an e mail where he says, "done a great job in the way and style its written" and "better than any other account I have read and i hope it does well"
There's still some way to go before publication, but I am at least now able to start thinking in that direction ===================================================
cold again this morning and what with the breeze and approaching rain it could be a wet birthday for me!
70 years old!!!!!! In a moment of reflection before going to bed last night I became aware of "how long" that is - - - scary!!
