Visitor day for us yesterday - - - & - - - Froome wins stage 18 on Le Tour

===========================================================
Enjoy the day – Enjoy the weather

LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
a nice long line of rain blobs on the Netweather display.  The direction of travel is indicating we might not see any of this for a while.  The local view shows no sign of rain right now

 Its a warm start to the day and the humidity is pretty high
 Not a bad view on the weathercam with a partly cloudy sky to start the day.  The Met O take on today is for sunny intervals until 15:00 then a 3 hour period where rain is possible.  Metcheck go for a similar start but rain from 13:00 with the possibility increasing significantly from 20:00

It was an early start for us yesterday with visitors imminent.
 First thing in the morning we received our recently ordered Indian Bean tree, lovely foliage
 the collapsed pond brolly got some attention
 and the repair is looking good
 6 open water lilys at the same time this has to be a record
 after the battering from the thunderstorm the previous day the roses are looking just a little jaded but the scent from this one is magnificent
The idea of tying up the apple tree branches to this frame is looking to be a good idea.  A couple were actually on the ground and might have been damaged otherwise
LM joins us in the garden but only to play
===================
 we hear some of our guests have arrived and Sally helps put up their tent
 the campsite squirrel seems unconcerned
after a lunch up at the grouse we settle in to the garden and photos are taken
 LM muscles in as usual, more guests join us but my photo skills being clouded mean i miss them - - - time later !
and even i get my photo taken
its off to the Indian for an evening meal then a gentle walk down our multi million £ cycle track to guide them on their way back to the campsite
==========================
so around midnight we flick through the recording of stage 18 on the Tour de France and watch Chris Froome win the uphill time trial and extend his overall lead.  Only 2 more real racing stages to go then the Paris parade stage -  -- fingers crossed

A PEEK AT THE PAPER

The banners have a way of beating Diabetes with Olives and Oil as well as a ticket to Flamingo Land  cant imagine anything less appealing
The main headline covers yet another claim that Brexit was good for us,  A bit like Olives and oil then !
Incredible video of jumping manta rays
