LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
Lots of showers around in England but Scotland looks to have a more concentrated blob of rain this morning
locally its loking like we might not be able to sit in the garden watching the mens Wimbledon finals. The ribbons of rain are following the course of the arrow. We might miss the ribbons on the current view but its looking like there will be more along later
very warm this morning with a lively breeze just now
the weather is coming directly art the camera and the breeze is indicated by the "seaweed at the moment. The Met O and Metcheck have opposing views on todays local forecast.
Met O; dry until 12:00 then showery all afternoon
Metcheck ; Wet until 12:00 sun for an hour then wet until 18:00, sun for an hour then the possibility of light rain until dark.
My guess would be leaning towards the Metcheck version

What with Le Tour and the Ladies singles finals at Wimbledon we didn't do much after the usual shopping trip yesterday
The Sky Team leader, Chris Froome pulled off a spectacular win by getting the jump on Quintana as they crested the last climb. Quintana reached for a water bottle form one of his roadside team and Froome hit the gas and shot off down the long decent to the finish. Earlier in the stage he had pushed a spectator who was running along side him waving aflag around. He was fined 200 euros for the indiscretion, i dont think it will make much of a dent in his take home pay.
At Wimbledon yesterday it was the ladies final and Serena Williams only needed two sets to see of Angelique Kerber. It was Serena's 22nd Grand Tour win

Checking the overnight recordings from the outside camera's i picked up on these two
This black and white cat spends some time in our garden and it hissed at me when i got a little too close to it yesterday. Boris's security camera picks it up on its way out of the garden this morning. LM will not be amused because he sometimes sleeps just behind where the camera is
this one shows the down garden camera and resident spider working away around 03:00 spinning its web which i need to remove every morning.

A PEEK AT THE PAPERS
More free stuff in the Express banners
The main headline is showing that even the Tory faithful are not best pleased at Ms Leadsom's obvious "Foot in mouth disease" comment. She claims that because she has kids she will make a better PM than her childless rival - - -
I wondered how long Cliff Richards would wait before venting his anger at the BBC. It will be interesting to see if he is successful in suing the Beeb
