LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
The Netweather.TV rain display is clear locally and for most of the UK. That large blob out in the Atlantic is getting bigger quite quickly and will affect some parts of the country later
just after 06:00 now and quite cool out the overnight Temp dropped to 8.1c.
The weathercam shows that its very cloudy at the moment but in fact the cloud is very high and quite thin. The sun will eventually burn through it i guess. Forecasters are looking at a cloudy day but little chance of any rain

round and about in Finland its raining mind you at 15c its warmer than here
in Stromness harbour its looking cloudy
in Greece its 08:30 and people are on and going to the beach already

Early morning photo out in the garden the mist is just about cleared from the valley
Everything going strong on the top terrace
at left the trees will need clipping off soon we want them to form a screen behind the balustrade
we have already cut off some of the closed flower stalks on the lupins and they just keep coming
in the greenhouse the tomatoes are doing great
with lots of fruit on them
In the pond the water lily has pushed up a number of blooms but they dont open as they should. We are hoping that our idea of splitting the root ball in winter might remedy the issue
the fish however dont mind as long as they get fed
putting the bird stopper in the chimney was a good idea but the Jackdaws perch on the edge of it in defiance
back in the house and LM brings in his hot breakfast option - - he almost looks like he's asking me if i want to share!

with 2 sprint wins already Mark Cavendish was squeezed out of the leading riders in stage 4 yesterday. In the GC its the usual names with Froome in 5th. The first hilly stage is today so its a chnace for "Bertie" to elevate himself from over a minute down on the leading GC bunch
And "they are off" declares the mail as TM gets out of the starting blocks first
The Pistorius faces the judge to get his sentencing today - - i wonder how long he will get ?
