Enjoy the day – Enjoy the weather

LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
nothing too threatening on the Netweather.TV display this morning although interestingly enough the blob of rain to the North West of Scotland appears to be the hub of the UK's weather today.  Viewing the "animation" of developing weather it is just spinning in an anti clockwise direction
Not a bad start to the weather stats this morning with an almost 14c Temp and a gentle breeze
The weathercam view is also looking pretty good right now.  Forecasters, as usual, are looking towards cloudy conditions and some small amounts of rain during the course of the day

Things that go bump in the night
Ever since our next door neighbour did some work on his bathroom some time ago we have had a rattling pipe problem.  It might seem strange but early morning or evening/night when he/they use a particular part of their bathroom one of our pipes has a strange rattling noise. At various times i have thought the noise was coming from the pipes above my head while Sally was convinced the noise came from a wall behind where she sits.
That assumption made sense because when we moved in that's where the kitchen had been.  Armed with this knowledge i stripped off the wall covering to find - - no pipes!
Thinking then that the noise could only be coming from above i pulled down a bit of the material covering the water pipes and there, i think is the answer.  Three pipes have been routed along the top of the joists and one of them, when i lifted it up and down sounded like it might be responsible for the noise.  A quick rummage in the shed came up with a couple of feet of foam pipe lagging and it was fitted in no time.  Now to sit back and await the results of my labours.

In the garden the peas are well in evidence, although pretty small now.  Sally picked a couple yesterday and they were great, we just need to let them get a little larger and we can sit up there and feed on them - - -

A PEEK AT THE PAPERS
The banners have a refugee machete attack in Germany and a leftover from yesterday Sunday paper to win a "dream lodge holiday"
the idea of the UK being exempt from the freedom of movement rules  to keep us in the "single market" is upsetting some MP's
On the Express back page Chris Froome's win in the Tour De France is covered and he is now looking towards some  success at the Olympics
