LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
quite a few blobs of rain about in the UK this morning but the South looks OK just now
The local picture looks a little more extreme, its raining quite well now and with the trend being West to East there's more to come by the looks of the display. Forecasts for today dont give us a chance of a dry period until 18:00 when the sky is meant to clear
the weathercam shows the latest shower passing over us - - - many more to come today until 18:00 when its meant to be sunny !

MALDIVES and the weather is fine - - they are coming to the end of their monsoon when it can be quite grey for days.

Wimbledon finals day will it rain wont it rain?
Its our normal routine to watch the Wimbledon mens final in the garden but with the weather at 50/50 yesterday we ventured out with cold drinks and kindle's rather than set up the TV to try and watch the match. The kindles were ok but the wifi signal wasn't up to much. Half way through the first set with the clouds gathering we went back inside - - - good move - - - it rained hard almost immediately! An all weather "cunning plan" is needed for next year!!

Huge spider in the bath yesterday!

Tom Dumoulin won the 9th stage of the tour yesterday
The weather for the last 30 minutes was incredible, torrential rain and 1 inch size hail battering everyone. Froome's problem with the fan the previous day led to a request for them to stay off the road and not to run alongside the riders. Yesterday a fan just standing "in" the road on a tight corner was scythed down by a rider and looked to be injured, an idiot in a one piece head to foot stretch suit got between 2 riders and was almost run down by one of the following team cars, and at one point as many as 10 a time some waving flags about were running alongside the riders. One of the biggest problems is not the people wanting to see the riders but the idiots who want to be caught by the cameras so they can go back later and replay their "encounter" on the little screen - - - there will be other incidents - - -
