LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
There's not much on the Netweather.TV display and even the big blob near Scotland looks as if its only going to hit the very northern tip of the country

Quite a warm start and the promise of a 21c max today
The weathercam has a 50/50 cloudy sky.  Both the Met O and Metcheck have today a sunny interval day with little chance of any rain.  Tomorrow could be wet in the afternoon with some significant amounts or rain though

I took our visitors up to see Napkin and Bertie

A PEEK AT THE PAPER

The banners have free bread and a new over 60's Alzheimer's check
The main story which is covered by just about all the news media is of the Munich attack
The Mail has the attack as well as George's birthday photo on its front page

Froome crashes on stage 19 and damages his bike after riding over and skidding on the white line in the middle of the road.  The road was wet and the Tour was descending, luckily his teammate Geraint Thomas was just behind him managed to stop and they swapped bikes.  Looking bruised and with some road rash Froome completed the stage, even extending his lead over his nearest rival. Bardet.  With Bardet winning the stage it was the first French victory of the Tour. - - -
