Bertie has a haircut - - - & - - - Froome does a runner!

Enjoy the day – Enjoy the weather

LOCAL WEATHER TODAY
The Netweather.tv Display has a huge blob of rain hitting NI at the moment and the animation run has it heading straight for us.  It might dissipate as it hits our coast - - - hopefully
12c not a bad start Temp and the barometer trend is upward so the sunshine symbol is showing.  I wonder if it will remain so?
the weathercam view has lots of cloud and the forecasts have it staying that way right through the day until 18:00 - - -

====================

With a little sunshine on the cards yesterday i thought a Gym session was in order
 still on the knoll at the moment i thought i would just clear the bit leaning on the trees by the fence.
 it struck me then that if i removed that group the ones by the chainsaw might hit the fence so i changed my approach
 its two weeks since i was down there and the grass and nettles have already started to grow between the row on the ground
 down they come and then the task of getting them up to the stash and making firewood
 its a great way to exercise and the bonus of winter firewood in years to come makes it worth the effort
On my way out Bertie and Napkin come looking for biscuits and they have had their annual haircut and look quite smart.  - - -

A PEEK AT THE PAPERS

The banner headline has a Diana /Harry tribute
 the main headline is of TM the PM's shuffle of the Cameron cabinet.  - - -
A couple of the later papers have another French atrocity on their front pages.  A French Tunisian drove a huge lorry through a Bastille day crowd in Nice.  Latest reports indicate at least 80 fatalities - - -

==================================
The Tour de France turned into the Tour de Farce yesterday
The Bastille day Mount Ventoux stage had to be shortened because of severe high winds on the Ventoux summit.  The crowds then were heavier than normal and the usual idiots were waving at the cameras rather than watching the riders.  A Camera bike stopped and Richie Port, Froome and Bauke Mollema all ran into it.  Another motorbike then ran into Froomes bike putting it out of action.
Mollema came off best, remounted and went on to complete the last km of the race.  Froome then dumps his bike and hoping his car catches up to him he sets off running.  Not long after he gets a neutral bike but has problems with the gears as his rivals all stream past him.  Finally his car catches up and he gets one of the Sky Team bikes and trails into the finish minutes down on the "provisional" leaders.  - - - The opinion of the Sky commentators is that this result might stand but the organisers give Froome and Port the same time as Mollema.  This means that Froome still leads the GC by 47 secs.  Riders and Team officials are scathing in their criticism that the last km was not complete with barriers - - -
