LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
The precipitation display is a complex one this morning with blobs going in all directions the one just to the West of Ireland doesnt look like it will cause us any trouble but the group circled might develop as they travel North and give us a soaking later which the Met O is predicting
The Temp of 7.3 is puzzling me a little this morning.  I remember looking at the gauge around 21:00 and it was 4.1 and thinking it might be a cold night.  I reckon the cloud must have filled the sky and prevented the full moon bringing a frost
weathercam update 08:03
The low cloud is almost covering the folly up on Nine Ladies ridge on the weathercam view this morning.  It might be a feature for a few more hours according to the forecast - - -

 It was a mild morning yesterday and after the usual i went down the A6 to the pharmacy to collect what is gradually becoming the usual "old person's" bag of pills !
 Walking down the side of the Whitworth Park to Peak Rail it was a quick right turn and then an easy walk along the multi million £ cycle track.  After crossing the road at Churchtown the countryside opens up and the familiar views start to glide past
 looking south to the sun very low in the sky, the Winter Equinox is only 6 days away!
 The view up to the Nine Ladies ridge looks cool
 Another sky shot and even though its past 10:00 the commuter aircraft con trails are still filling the sky
 down by the river and looking across to the meadow the sheep munching on their fodder look to be enjoying the weak winter sunshine
 The tree in the river but still clinging onto the bank looks really forlorn with debris from the recent flood still clinging to it.  I wonder if it survives the winter intact will it have leaves next year? - - - watch this space - - -Mmmm timelapse project maybe?
I finally make my usual stop at the view over the river and across the meadow before heading indoors for a cup of tea

 With the recent frosts having wilted all the delicate pond plants i set to chopping them off Note to self : Do it earlier next year !
it must have took a good 20 minutes getting the plants to this stage and it would be infinitely easier to do the job at the end of September before they wilt and end up the gelatinous mess they were yesterday.  Of course some of the sticky mess ended up in the pond and covered the ports to the pumps.  I had to take them all out and clean them.  It's a job that was on the cards anyway so no problem.  The fish meanwhile enjoyed all the gunk in the water column and investigated most of the lumps for anything to eat.  This took that long i decided to leave cleaning the filters until Friday when hopefully most of the debris will have passed through the pumps into the filters - - -

News?
The book of the year "The couple next door" (?) is offered in the banners for £6.49 and an inflatable guest bed (!) for £89.99
The main story is just another Brexit claim the question is will it ever come off? Prince Harry looks like he might make the leap of  faith into marriage - - -
I have followed the war in Yemen  its a pathetic tale of corruption and extremists taking advantage of a poor country in need of some guidance.  Our departure from its organisation back in the 70's was seen as a turning point in its development.  It however, has fallen off the edge of  opportunity and prosperity into the abyss hopelessness.  No doubt in the end it will be "our fault" - - -
