Local Weather today
A rather grey and cold start, with widespread and persistent fog shrouding the hills and the odd spot of drizzle. Clouds will lift through the morning, leading to a generally dry, but rather cloudy day. Although there will be some sunshine. It will also be a cold day, despite only light easterly winds, especially out of any sunshine. Cloud will lower onto the hills during the evening, with a narrow band of showers spreading from the east towards midnight.
Visibility: Poor to very poor during the morning, especially with the hill fog. Increasing to moderate, occasionally good by the afternoon.
Hill Fog: At all levels during the morning, but lifting above the tops by midday. Some hill fog returning above 400m during the evening, lowering to 200m by midnight.
Max wind above 400m: Easterly 15mph.
Temperature: Valleys: Plus 2 Celsius becoming Plus 9 Celsius
600m: Plus 4 Celsius
Freezing level: Above the summits.

I did a full day at the ATA yesterday and after feeling pretty rough while working for the last few shifts felt much better. The challenges were few, one in particular was "interesting" but i handled it with "aplomb" . I talked to the boss about maybe visiting the facility when its really busy in the run up to Christmas and using the full car park to distribute my book advert postcards. It seems that it is not a problem and I'm working out a plan of action
I remember blogging about this white headed blackbird earlier in the year and was surprised to catch a glimpse of it yesterday
the movement detector on the camera managed to just catch it in a clip as well.
