 With Temps up this morning its not hard to see where they are being driven from.  The large front visible yesterday brushed passed England but Scotland looks to have had its  fair share of rain

The broader Met O display shows the extent of the rain.  Forward projection suggests we might get some of it locally by 18:00

As expected the Temp has risen significantly from the past few days with an almost double figure one right now

Met O Peak District : Low cloud and fog at first clearing slowly through the morning. Then bright or sunny spells for a while before cloud thickens again from the west during the afternoon, with some rain possible overnight.

Visibility:  Very poor to poor at first in fog or mist but becoming good. Remaining very poor in hill fog.

Hill Fog:  Broken above 400m at first. Becoming broken above 500m from late afternoon.

Max wind above 400m:  Southwesterly 45-50 mph, easing through the afternoon.

Valleys:  Plus 8 becoming 13 Celsius.

600m:  Plus 10 Celsius.

Freezing level:  Above the summits.

The bathroom project is done! The skirting boards were fitted in the morning yesterday with only one outside 90 degree corner causing some concern.  I hate coving and skirting boards! .  The tricky job of how to get what is essentially an outside corner strip for the wall panels to fit around the inset window window sill had me stumped for a while.  Eventually i sussed that the profile on the back of the corner needed some serious cutting off 

The shower great piece of kit! 

is now where the sink and old loo used to be 

 the loo

is where the bath with the huge hole in the wall for the pipes, used to be

 the window sill with its challenging surround

finally the sink and towel rail 

replace the cupboard which was at the end of the bath.

With only a few minor bits to attend to i can safely say

Getting back to what passes for normal it will be pleasant not to have my bedroom as a tool and equipment store which it has been throughout the project.  I can stride the hills this morning without the prospect of being on my knees in the bathroom for the rest of the day Aaaaaah result!

 I had a quick wander around the field opposite the house the other day just before the heavy frosty days 

 
 It was a lovely clear morning unlike the freezing fog of yesterday! 

 the folly up on Nine Ladies ridge is easily discernible now, its quite hard to pick out in summer with all the foliage about 

 
I spotted this on the river bank, not sure what it is but it looked like some sort of trap although the inside of it didn't have any trapping devices  

 I still have a time lapse project to complete form years ago when i took the same photo every day for a year 

I managed to complete a project from this view and i think the video is pretty good

The frosty Sunday provided some good photos in the garden where it had on its  white mantle  

 the delicate pond plants decided it was time to call it a day, they'll need cutting off soon or they will decay into the pond, not a good idea 

 this was Sundays foggy view from the top pergola on Monday you could hardly see the top of the house 

 

We'll leave these apples on the tree, the blackbirds will have a go at them later in the winter

 The banners have a free Christmas sandwich and ask a question that does not need to be asked?  

The MP's voting on the Brexit today is such a waste of time!  I do like the Mrs M turnaround on Muslim dress codes in Germany.  I will be stunned if she ever wins another election after what she has done to Germany this year!
