We did a great job on the bathroom project yesterday with a number of panels going up and the radiator swap.  Not having isolator valves on the system we had to drain the top floor in order to get the old radiator off.  The valves were the first thing to be put on followed by the new chrome towel rail.  The rawplugs supplied were not really suitable for plasterboard so i popped over to screwfix for some of those spring loaded things.  The holes then needed in the wall had to be quite big but once installed everything was fine - - - well kind of. The valves into the radiator leaked so i had to take it off and re-do them but after that it was fine.  It does seem rather strange that all joints on the system have either rubber washers or compression joints to stop the water leaking but the plugs into the radiator have to be sealed with PTFE tape?

Since finishing the book I have had further stories from one of my old colleagues in particular which must be included!  There have also been a number of other pieces and photos sent to me worthy of inclusion.  My plan once the curent project is done with will be to set about inserting the new material into the book and updating the file on Amazon
