LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
Expect some rain today is what this display is pointing out!  The movement of the blobs suggests it will not be too long into the morning before it arrives.
A chilly morning and the fog is starting to move up the valley but I don't think it will be around for long.  The rain can't be far off

Yesterday was dominated by a trip down to Banbury, the M1 was the usual car-park, to see No 1 Daughter the elder who was surrounded by Christmas decorations ready to be put up at some juncture
We lunched at a Farm Shop outlet and
on leaving we spotted this 3 legged cat who seemed to be not having too much of a problem with its disability .  The return journey was a bit like taking part in the wacky races with almost everyone toodling along rather quickly.  The weather at our end was particularly wet and foggy but we arrived without incident.

It is with great pleasure that i can announce the missing washer from the shower head has turned up.  On clearing up and carrying out the numerous tools etc back to the shed i found this strange shaped washer which can only have come from the shower on the ground.  Sally reckons it came from the folds of LM's towels he sleeps on on the settee!  The saga of the missing handset washer however has never been resolved! After speaking, once again, to the manufacturer and being promised a new hose "in the post today".  It arrived promptly without any washers! - - - A truce has been declared by me due to not wanting to wsate anymore of my time dealing with incompetents.  If you are considering a new bathroom i would advise against using soak.com or vistorianplumbing.com .  Reasonable products but dross product knowledge and pi** poor customer service

News?
The banners have a report of the jockey Walter Swinburn's death aged just 55 and the post office elves are apparently having a 5 day Christmas strike.  with all the alternative postal agencies about now it is hardly a clever move !  inevitable as it always is the Unions  are at the head of this idea - - -
Another health revelation hits the frront page but a more pressing story is inside the paper

In true journalistic fashion the latest weather warning is hyped up to a SNOW BOMB: wall of snow ! Too predictable for words really.  The usual suspects are blamed for this weather pattern, "the polar vortex and El Nina".  A quote from the rhetoric says "a white Christmas is a near certainty" - - - OK bring it on !
