LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
The rain out in the Atlantic looks threatening but the direction of travel and the forecasts are indicating it might miss this location today .
Almost 10c on the Temp gauge this morning.  I can't see it going much higher though.  The Bar Tendency indicates rain and its visible on the display above but its unlikely to reach us say forecaster, see below - - -

weathercam update 08:21
The clouds are making the weathercam view look a little grey just now but they should thin out to give a brighter aspect quite soon

Twas a busy day yesterday with Sally away at the Manchester Christmas market with her Big Sister.  My concerns were well founded that it would be "an expensive do" - - - I visited an old friend who had downloaded my book but couldn't find it on his Ipad.  Playing with the thing i managed to sort it out but it just confirmed my opinion of those devices that "I wouldn't have one for a gold pig"
Having resolved this issue i trotted off to Chesterfield to look for inspiration for Sally's Christmas present which was duly provided by Debenhams.  A quick appt. at the Royal saw me scurrying home in the dark after a busy day to see the goodies brought back from the Christmas market. - - -
My efforts at the weekend posting my book postcards behind peoples windscreens in Sainsbury's car park look to have paid off there has been a slight increase in sales.  I will be doing the same this coming Sunday and might also take in the car park near the Bus and Train stations as well. .
On a whim i contacted an organisation that replicates an SAS selection march for people wanting a challenge!  I have received a most encouraging reply which i shall develop - - - more later

The banners have coverage of the upcoming rail strike and there's some disdain about what the Russians are doing in Syria we should keep our noses out of that one! - - -
I'm surprised at the main headline being a health one, why I ask myself lol!  it must be a slack news day! surely they should be concentrating on Christmas?   - - -
