LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
Casting the Met O rain radar net out past Ireland only finds isolated blobs of rain so unless anything develops quickly its looking like it might be a dry day today

Local weather today
The Met O forecast is as follows: Remaining dry but cloudier with light winds. There is a risk of low-level mistiness and persistent hill fog in places, with this likely to persist in some areas throughout. The higher peaks above 550 metres may actually be clear of hill fog at times due to a low temperature inversion. The best of any brightness will be across more northern parts. Becoming more generally cloudy into the evening with patchy rain possible. The top temp will be 6c and the winds around 10 to 15 mph.
Yahoo weather looks for: Today - Cloudy with a high of 42 °F (5.6 °C). Winds variable.Tonight - Cloudy. Winds variable at 2 to 9 mph (3.2 to 14.5 kph). The overnight low will be 40 °F (4.4 °C).

Its a cold 1.4c this morning. There's no wind indication just now but its much colder when the breeze gets up. No rain yesterday and not much chance of it today.
The weathercam looks across the valley to a grey dawn with some thick looking cloud around. The no rain forecast looks a little precarious but the radar still can't see any.

The usual shopping trip over to Chesterfield dominated the morning and the "Black Friday" deals, are they really deals, I think not, were all over the place. Aldi appeared not to be too interested in the day but i did spot this story where they are offering discounted ski lessons in the news. Tesco on the other hand had a wall of "offers" mainly electrical as you entered the isle area which was being replenished feverishly as we passed.
Returning to my ATA yesterday i worked with a new bloke which was interesting and we managed to survive the short shift without too many challenges

After ordering a new duvet online the other day at a few minutes before 09:00 which was "in stock" and clicking Express 1 to 2 day delivery with "Homescapes" I was p-----d that it hadn't been desptched the same day. Friday i whipped off an e mail enquiring when it would be despatched and received one of those "woolly" replies indicating it would be despatched "that day". A further e mail reminded them of my "1 to 2" days payment and i requested a refund of the difference between standard and my Express delivery.
In amazement they refunded the whole of the shipping charge - - - result.
The saga however does not end there. Obviously depatched through Yodel i received and "empty e mail" from them last night ?
This morning though i have a mail from Homescapes telling me it has been despatched and informing me of the Yodel tracking number
you know what's coming next dont you!
On to the yodel site paste in my tracking number and i get, "Sorry we cant find that number" Mmmmmmm

2 for 1 meals at brewers fayre and the old sharpie pen set hit the banners, where do they get this stuff from and does it actually sell more copies?
the main story is another Brexit tale, this time a tale of woe, hardly worth the effort to read it
A more interesting story form the Express is this one from Bulgaria where migrants trash a camp set up for them in protest at the camp being put on lock down over locals insisting that many of them had a "serious skin condition" Bulgarian PM Boiko Borisov has an easy solution "send them back from whence they came"
