The weathercam has a grey wet look about it with heavy clouds dumping their rain on us with gusto.
a few minutes later and the weathercam is picking up more light now, it's still a grey wet windy view!

Local weather forecast for today
The Met O has heavy rain until 09:00 then drizzle until 12:00 after that a period of fog until 15:00 due to the Temperature rising slightly. The day will close with a clearer drier period. Top temp will be 7 to 11c and winds 45mph from the south to start with, easing and veering to northwesterly 20mph. Yahoo weather has rain until lunch then maybe a drier afternoon and evening, top temp will be 9.4c and winds between 4 and 14mph.

The bathroom project made another bound forward yesterday but there was nearly a big faux pas! The shower we purchased is one of those thermostatic do dahs. on the right of the mixer bar a technical term for taps is a gizmoe that can control the temperature of the water. It has 36c on it which must be some kind of setting. Anyway because it had the 36c on i imagined that this would take the hot water inlet and plumbed accordingly. WRONG !
Whilst mounting the mixer bar to test the plumbing joints before closing up the false wall i noticed a small round red sticker on the underside of the bar. Consulting the internet it became clear that incorrect assumptions about hot and cold connections on these things is a common problem. Having established that the little red spot did mean the hot should be connected to it we sat down for a cup of tea. The instruction for the shower was on the table so i picked it up. First paragraph on the back of the diagram showing the various shower parts said. In bold! The hot water inlet is on the left and the cold on the right.
The old adage "IF all else fails read the instructions" was quoted loudly!
We finished the day with the shower tray levelled and with today being an ATA day it will be tomorrow that we gird our loins and attack the shower panels and hopefully the shower enclosure. - - -
