LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
http://www.netweather.tv precipitation display

Netweather has the Lakes taking some heavy rain right now and locally its showery
looking at the Met O wider view its obviously going to be a bit of a showery day.  The forward prediction doesn't look all that bad for our local area it has to be said .  With the wet snowy and ice warnings from the Met O currently in force it could be a very unpleasant weekend for anyone outdoors - - -
Current stats
Cold and wet, just getting a light shower now.  3.1mm of overnight rain will be added to during the day
Its just getting lkight and the weathercam is picking out a mostly cloudy sky with just the odd clear patch

last night i was just closing down my desktop when i noticed this weathercam view "green sky!" cool - - -
Today's local weather forecast
The Met O has us  with the overnight rain continuing with some snow on high ground above 300m .  the showers will become increasingly isolated and we might even have the odd sunny spell developing.
Up on the hills we could be looking at reduced visibility, the Top Temp is only going to be 5c and winds could get up to Westerly 35 mph easing down and backing to South Westerly later in the day
Yahoo weather has us mostly cloudy for the day a top temp of 5c with a 90% chance of precipitation.  Winds are going to be variable from 2 to 11 mph .
yesterday's weather was similar to what is coming soon and
driving over to Chesterfield to shop in Cyril the van was an experience.  Its looking increasingly likely Boris will be used for the lakes trip
during the downpour the other day we had the usual puddle develop nearly half way across the road due to the drain just out of shot being blocked by leaves
Cars regularly ploughed through and gave showers to the gardens
and this lorry made a great curtain of water as it went by.
Welcome the winter weather - - -

I had another go in the bathroom for a couple of hours yesterday sorting a few things but the idea of hiding the soil pipe from the loo rather than having a little cover for it is proving a challenge.  Even after sorting a bit out yesterday, squaring off the studding from the window wall where it meets the loo wall, i can still see that another adjustment is needed - - hey ho - -  rather get it right than be continually looking at it if its wrong everytime i go in there.  The cladding over the door however was a resounding success.  It required three items to be fitted together along with 4 bits of cladding and then eased into exactly the right position - - -

The main headline in the Express is of Thundersnow which will apparently blanket the country.  As usual its a bit of a scare tactic headline.  Yes there will be snow but the Met O has said it might only fall on high ground and a more general comment in the story is "From Sunday to Tuesday, strong winds and heavy rain will continue to hit England and Wales." - - -  There are 37 flood warnings in place which is probably more disturbing   our upcoming trip to the lakes looks like it might be interesting - - - looking forward to some god photos!
