I looked through the animation of the rain blobs in the passed couple of hours.  This rather large one started off about a third of its present size heading for Scotland.  Its extended to just about the whole of the country and is growing so its inevitable that it will rain today sometime

We have our second frosty start this morning but thankfully no wind and no precipitation at the moment.

Its a grey view on the weathercam and i dont think it will get any better as the day progresses.  The frost is visible on the fields in the upper meadows even at this distance .

Local weather forecast today: 

The met O is forecasting sunny periods to begin with but by 09:00 the cloud will build as well as the precipitation probability.  By 15:00 rain is on the cards and it will increase significantly between 21:00 & 23:59. The top Temp for today will only be 8c.  Yahoo weather has a similar Top Temp at 7c but only a 10% chance of rain even as far as into the evening.  My money is on the Met O idea of some rain in the afternoon and getting heaver into the evening

The full extra day at the ATA yesterday went well and the challenges were few.  I'm in again today but not till mid afternoon so that will give me time to tackle trying to get the window wall in the bathroom vertical and ready for the cladding panels.  I need to make a hole in our 2ft thick cottage walls for the shower outlet and that is causing me some concern.  I won't be able to see the full scale of the job until we take out the bath so maybe i should just chill till then.

The rat problem in the garden or more to the point in the top greenhouse is looking resolved.  It wasn't a pleasant decision to poison them but as in the end we could see 4 on the observation camera it was the only solution really.

After the initial pre-publishing book sales i noticed a 3 yesterday have been added, I'm not sure when Kindle process the sales so its a wait and see i guess.

More evidence  to the lengths people will go to with this obsession of "being in touch".   The story has a fact that nearly 10,000 drivers have been caught twice in the last 4 years, "while distracted".  This phrase includes the use of  the mobile phone.  This comes on the back of the article on the jailing of the Polish lorry driver jailed for killing a mother and 4 children after ploughing into her car while using his phone.  I think people will continue to do it no matter what the legal penalties are - - -
