LOCAL WEATHER NOW AND FORECAST FOR TODAY
==============================
The Netweather.Tv display shows the rain marching towards us today in its past animation
but full marks has to go to the Met O forewards animatioin for yesterday.  11:00 it forecast rain for the valley and it was on time to within a couple of minutes.  Todays prediction for 08:00 today is above so its waterproofs on once again at 8 !
Local stats at 05:52
Pretty chilly out at 1.5C or 33.3 on my F station this morning the sky looks fairly clear because i can see the moon but cant get the elevation on the weathercam to catch it.
Here's a weathercam clip from yesterday right at the start of the clouds moving in to give us a real downpour.

Updated weathercam 07:05
The weathercam has a bit of cloud about but the clear overnight sky has made it a cold morning.  The weather coming at us will make it a bit of a challenge to be outside today methinks - - -enjoy - - -

Today's local forecast
The Met O has it being a cold day with the chance of snow after 09:00 and throughout the day! The Temp range for the day is minus 1 to plus 6c and winds are expected to be Westerly 35mph but easing through the day.  !
Yahoo has it as Today - Cloudy with a high of 40 °F (4.4 °C) and a 35% chance of precipitation. Winds variable at 11 to 18 mph (17.7 to 29.0 kph).
So there we are whichever way you look at it its going to be cold and possibly snowy, most certainly wet! - - - enjoy

Yesterday with a short shift 3 till 7 on my ATA i took it easy in the morning and completed some small jobs on the bathroom including cutting some coving.  Not my favourite occupation "i hate coving" from a few blogs ago is now replaced with "i can cope with coving now" i managed a number of corners without mishap!
I never knew a vaccination for shingles had been invented but was offered the chance of it by the local med centre so that was another appointment along with the OAP (!) flu jab which i missed the appointed earlier mass injection days.

I have ordered 1000 slightly modified book cover postcards with a bit of a narrative on the back and am going to distribute them in earnest once they arrive.  Chatting to an acquaintance yesterday she mentioned her friend wanted to give the book to her son for christmas but wondered how she could do it.  My mind clicked, a rarity it has to be said!  and I told her i would sign one of my new cards and she could give him it  in an envelope as the present then pay for the download.
The idea for the redesigned card came from Paul C. (from Facebook) who asked me for a signature to add to his SAS Authors collection.  It struck me that on the original book photos i had been handing out there was nowhere for me to sign, if someone wanted one.
I've made the text a little smaller so it fits in the standard print out border and leaves a space in front of the "gathering" for me to scribble on"   Maybe signing the cards could be something that could catch on ?

Whats in the papers
The Banners have the usual warning about the fact its going to get colder in winter, now there's a surprise, wasnt it only 10 days ago it was rumoured we would be having minus 14c in a few days.  It was plus 13 3 days ago! The Dementia thing cant be bad but it will probably be research thats years away form any definite help.
The main story is focussing on energy bills rising again, the last rise was because of "post Brexit uncertainty.  My oh My! its the same story this time with "the big six poised to unleash" price rises within weeks .  nothing new there then
