Lots on the front page! & Black Rabbit midnight feast for LM the Techno Cat

Lots to look at on the front of the Express this morning Donald Trump speaks and makes sense for once! The footballer Adam Johnson gets 6 years for having sex with a child says the banner.  In other media its as if the sentence is too long? maybe "they" should have asked parents with 15 year old girls first!
Laurence Fox and Billy Piper split Laurence who?  Oh and not to miss out on another "health exclusive" although the "Twice yearly injection to halt diabetes" has only just been given the go ahead for tests on humans and is expected only to be available, "within years".

A trip to a busy Aldi in Chesterfield prompted me to wonder why it was so busy, we just managed to arrive at a car park space as a lady was leaving but other shoppers cruised around the car park like a swarm of angry bees.  Guiding the trolley was challenging but i managed to reach the busy tills without incident & after a quick visit to the next door Tesco we escaped Chesterfield and returned home unpacked and it was time for lunch
As usual The Grouse at Froggatt was the chosen venue and we arrive early enough to swap lively banter with staff and regulars before it got too busy

The rain had visited us and it looked a little bleak as we drove home so after a bit of a sort out we settled down to watch
a stage of The tour of Catalunya where Quintana moves into first place and Contador in second.  Chris Froome is back in 8th place and not looking at his best ((Photo Credit GRAHAM WATSON))

OK you know what its like at check outs where a young teen or very early 20 something is giving you the monosyllabic answers or sticking to the company "script" when dealing with you.  I had occasion to pop into the Derby Road store of Screwfix and was served by a charming girl/young lady called Beth.  She was having problems finding my account because she has a hearing problem and mistook what i was saying.  I assured her it was ok as i had a hearing problem too.  She was chatty charming and and made a point of saying goodbye after pne of the pickers handed me my order.  Such a breath of fresh air! i left feedback on their site i hope it is passed on to her

LM does a good impression of being a "Techno Cat" with Telly bodger, phone and kindle fire all to hand.  Later in the night he came bounding in through the back bedroom window at such a rate i wondered what was going on.  Getting up in the dark i could see him hunched over something black on the floor, blackbird i thought?  No it was a baby black wild rabbit, we have seen a number of these over on the Peak Rail site over the years.  LM had bagged one as his opener for the baby rabbit midnight feast season of 2016 !

Metcheck  have been discussing for a number of days
the gathering Atlantic low pressure areas set to disrupt our Easter weather today (good Friday) is classed as being the best of the bunch with sunny spells once the clouds disperse a little.  Tomorrow will be wet and windy Sunday might see a bit of sunshine and Monday has a better than even chance of being a complete washout

WEATHER NOW
still cool at the moment from an overnight low of 3.4c no wind to speak of just now but its expected to get a little lively later on
quite a good shot on the weathercam with some sunshine already evident, it looks like a playing with the pond pumps/filters day for me after sorting out half a dozen Tomato plants i picked up at Aldi
