OK, we have had a few days of cracking weather and today looks like it will follow the pattern of the last couple of days.  This weather front on the display is moving up wards rather than across towards us but its a sign the weather will change soon
not quite double figures just yet this morning
the hills on the other side of the valley are just about discernible as the mist makes its way down the valley just now.  The forecasters are confident that we shall have another fine day today.  The weather though is set to change towards a wet and windy weekend

this was the great view yesterday afternoon across the valley

It was another scorcher on Monday so i decide to do a little logging
Earlier in the year the Electricity people turn up and clear the hawthorn bushes from under their cable and i get the larger bits of wood for free.  I'd cut up and moved most of it buts some remained.  Today is a good day to finish the job
I'm just above the knoll where I'm usually working
i pull all the bits onto the track
and start a pile at the end of the run of bushes
the selfie works - - - kind of
so there we are i didnt bother splitting it with a maul.  I just sawed the lot up into chunks.  I just need a bit of plastic to cover it now.
my new pile down at the knoll stuck out of the plastic covering
that came under the spotlight next and I modified its shape to fit
on my way out i see Napkin sitting in a load of ash from the burning of a tyre.  He appears to like it but its making him look a little grey
I spot another character painting the gates around my exit point

its such a pleasant afternoon we decide to get rid of the instant BBQ that has been sitting in the shed for over a year now.  A bit of overkill for 2 burgers but hey ho - - -
I spotted this on the overnight recordings on one of the garden cams.  This spider spins a web just about every night which i have to clear every day!

A PEEK AT THE PAPERS

The Express banner focuses on Anjem Choudary who it says faces jail.
The Main story is becoming a bit of a crusade with the Express in its rush to get us out of the EU.  I rather favour that line published the other day "just walk away" .  Laura Trot one of our brilliant team of cyclists also features having won last night ladies omnium at the Olympics.

The Mail also takes up similar stories to the Express
