We have just had the band of light rain which is now drifting South East of us. There isnt much showing after it but it can bubble up anytime to spoil the party today i think
mid teens on the Temp just now but not expected to go much higher today - - - Heatwave! what heatwave?
The weathercam has a very grey view to it right now and forecasters are indicating it might be a cloudy day with the possibility of showers at any time. The Met O looks on the bright side by suggesting we might get some sunny periods - - -

Hey ho the ups and downs of gardening
this photo shows the poor old Almond tree which we moved out of the greenhouse into the garden really due to lack of any fruit appearing. It went into shock when we moved it and now the leaves are all falling off. Fingers crossed it wakes up next spring otherwise its for the chop
on the other hand in the lower greenhouse all is rosy, the tomatoes are still producing like crazy and i have cut the tops out in an effort to keep them going as long as possible. These peppers are also doing very well and should be harvested in a couple of weeks at the most

Yesterday it was time to deliver the wood we loaded into Boris the other day so with no sign of the "Heatwave" as we set off we drove over to Sally's big sisters house. Arriving there with some sunshine the wood was duly transferred and with the bacon sarnie payment consumed we set off back under an almost cloudless sky.
After packing away the shopping we picked up on the way back
it was straight into the garden for a couple of G & T's to enjoy the sunshine, already its mid afternoon!
It has to be said the view across the valley was stunning. All to soon though around 16:45 the clouds started to appear and signal the end of the "Heatwave"
