Everything is bad for you except Bananas & My Windows 7 battle begins

The Express follows others on the "wonder drug" properties of the humble banana this morning suggesting it can cure colds & flu  and a host of other ills - - -
==============================
My rule of eventually everything is bad for you comes into play here with a WHO statement that processed meat is to join the "encyclopaedia of carcinogens", thats tech for bad for you with fresh red meat also being earmarked although at a "slightly less dangerous" ranking. The full scariness of processed meat has to be understood to be believed when it is ranked "alongside arsenic and asbestos!!!!!" in the WHO ranking = =

a Cannabis vaping "thing" its legal!!! Hey maybe a good Christmas present!!!!!

Yesterday was one of those warm blustery/sunny/cloudy days when "you just have to get out and walk"
Its probably a couple of years since we strode the estate around Chatsworth so we bit the bullet and paid the £3 parking charge,  50p when we arrived here in 1996! and set forth.  The courtyard of the "stables" is magnificent and because we are early the hoards of folk are not around.  The less than attractive coloured plastic chairs have survived a number of years now! shame,

clutching my wallet nervously i follow Sally through the doors into the gift shop, not a place for the feint hearted!
having escaped with "nil expenditure" from the gift shop we ascend the first very steep slope of our (old) favourite walk and look up the ride in the forest to the man made water course and waterfall.  The water comes from the Emperor Lake high up in the hilltop which is where we are headed eventually
looking back down the hill we can just glimpse the house
as we walk the track we see the old chimney which has an underground tunnel back to the estate gardens to where the Grand Conservatory stood
the chimney was the final exit of all the smoke from the conservatory boiler heating system system.  Sadly the conservatory is long gone but the curious shaped walls around it are still there

Onwards and upwards we find that our route to the Lake is barred because of some kind of work around that area
diverting only slightly we come across the usual mushroom and fungi suspects then come out at the Hunting Tower with its great views

Baslow is just visible on this one
Our route back down is by the handrail in the pic then on down to the house.
The car park is full by the time we get there and people are thronging around - - - time for us to make our escape back home

for the rest of the afternoon i struggle to get windows 7 working on the old Toshiba .  My old faithful Drive image XML falls over trying to restore an image so i install 7 from the windows disc.  No problem but even connecting the pc to the network i cannot gain access to the internet to download all the drivers i need.  I try all the methods from the internet but my "network profile" stays at public rather than home which is the root problem.
calling a truce at 18:00 i put everything away and resume operations this morning
I use Drive image to make an image of the basic Windows 7 set up i have then attempt to restore an old image - - Success! but as i expected it wont boot up - - - so thats where i am now and about to go into battle once again! - - -

a chilly start so the log burner will be lit between "windows" skirmishes!"
the weathercam has a few small breaks in the cloud and the forecast is for the winds to increase later in the day
