Nothing new on the main headline and i see the PM has a spot about the "offshore account havens we support". More worryingly is this story from inside the paper only Brexit can save the NHS the thrust of the story supported by a "senior Labour figure" is that the EU will destroy our NHS system with its open borders etc. Why don't we go to the EU and demand money to keep it going its been here a lot longer than the EU has! alternatively - - - Brexit - - -

Contemplating a less than encouraging weather forecast i set forth for a little logging yesterday
Sally and I had raided the river bank for a couple of bags of its food for free in the form of the young ransom leaves. In my enthusiasm i forgot to take a photo of us rummaging around on the river bank! The leaves are for our friend Jim who owns the land we log on
driving up and delivering the "bounty" i then walked down the cold windy hillside to the copse i am currently working in
having finished off using an old stash i have transported the 2 pieces of old metal fence i use as end stops for the stash and set to warming up clearing more of the area next to the fallen wall
with the bit of fencing in place it was time to start stacking
the base layer of smaller branches laid down
having felled a couple of the long pole like trees in the background i was on the point of calling it a day when the sun came out and i decided to stay a little longer, big mistake! one miss hit later the head came off the maul! cant complain though its only the second one i have broken this way since 2009!
finishing off what i could with the smaller maul i called it a day and went home for a late lunch and to order a new maul!
On the way Jim offered to put the old maul head on a piece of pipe for me so it could at least be used i might need to put some anti vibration tape on the handle!!

I had to look into my archive of photo's to find out when i started logging up at Jims and came across this photo
2 much loved cats Tom and Grumpy, we had Tom for nearly 20 years and Grumpy for 11 both long gone now but never forgotten - - - - - - -

back to reality !
Cyril the van, who has been off the road with "a malady" is off to be cured this morning, it could turn out to be expensive but he's such a handy vehicle it would be a shame to write him off - - - we shall see

WEATHER TODAY
Its raining already this morning and if the forecast is correct it could be an "off on" day!
with us being at the tiny dot in the middle of this photo and the wind coming from the West we look to be having the rain for a while yet
===================
another almost mild Temp today and the breeze hopefully will help disperse the patchy rain quickly
the weathercam has a suitably grey appearance for the rain that's with us at the moment. My wool "seaweed" isnt showing any yet - - - maybe it will only "report" torrential rain! - - - The forecasters are in agreement it will rain today but not when and how heavy! - - -
====================================
Enjoy the day
