London Marathon day & Collecting some of the "free wood"

The Express has an article close to my heart, we regularly get cold calls but because we have them going straight to the answer machine its rare if anything is said by the caller.  

the headline on this story is "Britain is Europe's £176 billion cashpoint" former Tory defence secretary Liam Fox claims we could pay off our national debt twice over with the net result of our input and output to the EU over the years - - - its time to get out! - - - 

Its the London Marathon today and there's even talk of sleet and snow forecast for the event Brrrrrrr! - - -

 even though it was quite cold i decided to gather some of the "free wood" yesterday this shot looks down on my current area of operation from the free wood site

 I noticed just above the area a camper van parked up in the middle of a field?

having marshalled the wood on the track i set to reducing it to firewood and loading up Boris who had his first trip of the year down the onto the land from the farm yard.  It didn't take long to reduce it to fire wood and take it back home.  My theory is that it will dry enough stacked up in our wood shed in the sun before its used as firewood early next year.  After 2 trips it got decidedly colder in the afternoon so it was a case of some indoor pottering

WEATHER TODAY 

I noticed the moon was still visible when i got up earlier 

the prediction of sleet and snow down South looks like it might be a reality from the look of the rain radar just now 

 once again its quite cold this morning and after some overnight rain there's a distinct damp feeling outside 

The cloud is already building on the view from the weathercam The Met O forecast is optimistic we shall have some sunshine this afternoon but Metcheck are signalling light rain after 13:00 right through until 18:00 - - -
