The Environment Agency has issued this map and flood warning expecially in Cumbria and in particular around the towns of Kendal and Egremont. It is expected that some areas will have over 20cm of rain before the current weather system moves away from the UK
There are a few flood warnings in our area so it will be interesting to watch the levels on the River Derwent in the next few days

In the never ending quest of "modern society" to "remain in touch" it is now being suggested that phones should have a bed mode It is suggested that manufacturers should "show more responsibility" to tone down the ever bluer and brighter screens that the devices have which disrupt sleep patters according to the "experts" - - - Excuse me? just try leaving it downstairs or heaven forbid switch the damn thing off once in a while?
