100% CPU issue resolved! & more odd weather around

this satellite pic from a BBC article shows Cyclone Megh having driven over Socotra, at right in the pic entering the Gulf of Aden.  This weather channel article has a video of the storms track and effects on the Yemen coastline

meanwhile in Levi, a popular skiing resort in Finland they are all set for the season with some snow already on this traffic camera.  There is also a Christmas Tree on the traffic island

Hot stuff in Sydney is shown by this mind numbing array of power cables and adaptors is being used to run a cannabis farm near Sydney airport where the electricity is being stolen form a nearby sub station. Police arrested 2 men and seized 653 (!!) plants when they shut it down

My visit to a very wet Derby yesterday went well and my surgeon reports herself satisfied with the progress after my hand Op in August.

its a well known fact that cats like cardboard boxes but we were surprised last night as LM hid under the stairs in Toms old spot after hearing fireworks outside. He even followed Sally upstairs at bedtime to hide in the wardrobe until the "coast was clear" some time later

if its not broken dont fix it, that well known saying bugged me as i wrestled with a problem my HP netbook had.  after booting it up the CPU would run at 100% and its been doing it for a while.  No programmes were running and looking through all the background services provided no answer to the issue.
I googled the problem and came up with a host of "solutions" but trying them didnt give me the answer.
I even tried upgrading to windows 10 but the problem was still there.
Another side issue was that the SD card reader wouldn't even see a card when it was inserted let alone display its contents.
By a loooooong process of elimination the SD Card reader turns out to be the problem!!!!!.  If i uninstalled it the CPU would drop to less than 20% sometimes even less than 10.
Rebooting or recovering from Sleep Mode made the machine re-install the card reader and it would then need to be uninstalled to resolve the issue once again.
In one uninstall i noticed a box which could be ticked to also uninstall the "driver for the reader"
so the "device Manager", on the right in the pic, now shows the reader as an "Other device" which has no driver and the CPU even with Picassa running is only using 19% of the resource, so unless i reinstall the driver all should be ok  - - - result! - - -

15.5c !!!!!!!!! the max for the day is predicted only to be 16 but what an odd Temp for so early on a November morning.  Last night we had some high wind gusts and my weather machine picked up an episode around 03:00 where it was 38mph!, pity its not sophisticated enough to record the gusts - - -
the weathercam has a cloudy sky and still shows a bit of the Autumn colours.  Today locally is meant to be cloudy windy and with some light rain

Enjoy the day
