i was just checking what the weather was doing early this morning and noticed that Venus was very very bright.  I only knew it was Venus on Googling "bright star eastern sky" Stumbling across the Earth Sky website all is revealed.  There's even a calendar of the next few days indicating what might be seen in the sky

imagine doddering up the M1 at 70mph, mind you reaching 70mph would be a minor miracle nowadays, anyway, just think what it would be like if this thing shot passed at 1000mph! - - - makes you wonder if 1000mph can be sustained for long before something go's awry! - - -

Once again  this article is "leaning against an open door with me !  My theory is that so many cones have been produced that there's nowhere to store them so the owners rent stretches of our roads and just put them there.

After very grudgingly paying the "customs charge" which turns out to be VAT on my lightinthebox.com order i opened the package to find something resembling what i ordered.  The instructions are truly incomprehensible and i doubt i will ever be able to make the thing work.  I have however tripped over this Sitejabber  review website where "consumers" savage the company.  Note to self "lightintheobx.com NEVER AGAIN" - - -

 it was sunny and mild on yesterdays walk and the farmer has already (Autumn) cut these hedges alongside the road

 almost at the top of the walk here and a great view across to nine ladies hill

 whatever was being done to the pond seems to have been completed because the water level looks to be back to normal - - great sky pic

 another great view from the golf course and i can just make out all the hard working folk zooming up and down the A6 in the valley

 back down at river level another tranquil view North West

finally almost back home and the across river view is as stunning as ever
